Walking photos

The persona I was depicting was that of a cactus dressed in flowers. I achieved this by following my tattoo and actual plants in my house for inspiration, and by using the band saw to cut small squares and my exacto knife to cut them to the form I needed, followed by wood glue keeping it together. I build this from the beginning with the same strategy as the nose's we made in class, and expected my head to turn out spot on due to the final look of my nose. 

A cactus represents many differnt things, one being the power and loneliness in the desert. I feel as if since I have moved to philly on my own, and spend a lot of time alone working on projects, I get a lot more done. Another meaning of the cactus is to endure all things no matter how painful or difficult. Previously I have faced an amount of unexpeccted obstacles, but none have ever held me back; This is the reason the flowers on my eyes have not bloomed yet, because I am unable to predict the future and what will happen to me- I can only keep positive thoughts, high hopes, and an open mind to be ready to face whatever life throws at me next (the reason the flower on my head had bloomed). I also covered myself in prickles to show that some people seem to think I look intimidating.
