My dichotomy was perception vs. reality.  I created a wearable sculpture out of mylar, paper and tape then projected a series of images onto it.  I chose black and white images to be projected because the distortion of the form on the sculpture was emphasized more in black in white than in color.  I then, photographed a model wearing the sculpture with the projected images.  When only looking at the photos, one can not tell the sculpture is made out of paper and that the image on the sculpture is a projection.
